Alabama Chapter to host birding workshop for beginners

The Alabama Chapter of The Wildlife Society, along with the Wehle Land Conservation Center, will be hosting a professional development program, “Beginner Birding Workshop,” on May 13-14 at the Wehle Land Conservation Center in Midway, Alabama. Participants will learn basic bird ecology, habitat association and bird behavior of various birds common to Alabama. There will also be a session focusing on basic monitoring techniques. Registration is $15 and can be paid at the door. Classroom instruction starts at 1 p.m. May 13, followed by field instruction on the Wehle Tract. The deadline to register is May 8.
