Welcome to the Alabama Chapter of The Wildlife Society

The Alabama Chapter of The Wildlife Society (ACTWS) is a professional organization that serves and represents wildlife professionals in all areas of wildlife conservation and resource management. It is dedicated to the scientific conservation of wildlife resources and to furthering the education of those involved with, or interested in, wildlife conservation. ACTWS promotes rigorous professional ethics for wildlife scientists and managers, facilitates the exchange of technical information, and works to influence legislation impacting wildlife resources.

Bats and Forest Workshop
Tuesday, September 10, 2019

The Alabama Chapter of The Wildlife Society, along with the Alabama Bat Working Group, will host a bats and forest workshop on September 10 at Cleburne Mountain Center in Heflin, Alabama.

This unique program will begin at 8:30am on Tuesday the 10th (a draft agenda may be downloaded here). This workshop is geared towards forest managers and natural resource professionals with the objective of raising awareness of forest bats and providing tools for best forest management practices while considering bats on the landscape. The $10 registration will include lunch.
