Michigan boosts efforts to combat CWD

Michigan is ramping up its efforts to fight chronic wasting disease. The Detroit Free Press reports that the state Department of Natural Resources is teaming up with Michigan State University to give out $4.7 million in grants to support efforts targeting the disease. Grants will made for basic research, practical and applied research, multi-jurisdictional collaboration and public outreach and communication. Proposals will be accepted June 3.
