The British Columbia Chapter of The Wildlife Society developed a letter addressing proposed regulatory changes regarding the implementation of Fisher Exclusion Boxes (FEBs) in fur-trapping practices in a few management units in central BC, and put forward that these low-cost and low-barrier tools should be mandatory and implemented across the entirety of the red-listed Columbian fisher population range. This statement was endorsed by the international Martes Working Group.
