TWS, as a participating organization in America’s Wildlife Conservation Partners, signed this letter to USFWS Director Brian Nesvik in response to the Request for Information on Implementation of Tile Setbacks on U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Easements. The letter highlights the USFWS easement program as a voluntary, landowner-driven tool to conserve valuable wildlife habitat in the face of wetland loss across the Prairie Pothole Region (PPR). It asks USFWS to “ensure that tile setbacks do not compromise the functions and values of easement wetlands.”
