Detailed schedule

With 12 concurrent sessions and hundreds of contributed posters, our education and training program offers over 900 educational opportunities. Field trips and workshops are still available but are filling up fast.

This year, we will begin each day with a plenary or keynote session. Our incredible lineup of speakers will discuss topics such as partnerships for conservation, invasive species, sustainability and private lands conservation.

Several new student activities will be available to the next generation of wildlife professionals, including sessions such as the Career Opportunities Panel Discussion and Opening the Door to Your Dream Career, which features speakers such as 2015 Aldo Leopold Memorial Award recipient Dr. James D. Nichols. Also new this year, the Quiz Bowl will take place over two days, with the championship round taking place Tuesday evening. Careers with U.S. Forest Service and Careers with Wildlife Services return this year, offering students the chance to learn from employees of each respective agency.

With such a robust educational and training program and plenty of networking opportunities—at over 1,500 registrants already, we are expecting our second largest crowd in over a decade—this year’s conference will be a can’t miss professional experience.
