Learn about Blanding’s turtles with the New York Chapter

The New York Chapter of The Wildlife Society, in cooperation with the New York State Department of Environment Conservation, will host a workshop on Blanding’s turtle habitat assessment May 25 in Millbrook, New York.

The training will focus on identifying Blanding’s turtle habitat using the criteria and techniques in the Grgurovic protocols for the Blanding’s turtle (Emydoidea blandingii). Attendees will gain knowledge of Blanding’s turtle life history, habitat and state requirements. This will provide introductory experience in identifying Blanding’s turtle habitat.
