Are social media influencers getting too close to wildlife?

A growing number of social media accounts have attracted big followings by featuring influencers getting too close to wildlife and engaging in practices that can be dangerous to both the people and the animals they encounter. In one recent video seen on Twitter nearly 10 million times, a woman reaches out to a doe that approaches, then rears up in defense. Conservationists have begun warning about a rise in “wildlife selfies,” the Daily Beast reports.
