The Native Student Professional Development Program provides Native American students with the opportunity to attend The Wildlife Society’s Annual Conference, the largest gathering of wildlife professionals in North America. Now in its 12th year, the program is organized by the Native Peoples’ Wildlife Management Working Group of TWS.

The deadline to apply for this year’s program is August 17, 2019. Participants in the 2019 program will receive a travel grant to attend TWS’ first joint annual conference with the American Fisheries Society in Reno, Nevada, from September 29 to October 3, 2019. Candidates must be members of a Native American, First Nations or Indigenous Tribe, or identify as Native Alaskan or Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, and currently be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in a relevant academic discipline.
