Working as both a researcher and science storyteller, Olivia Milloway has studied invasive bullfrogs in the San Francisco Bay Area, interviewed citizen scientists across the state of Maine, and caught fish on overnight trips in the Panama Canal. Since 2025, she has worked as the staff writer for The Wildlife Society, covering news in wildlife science, policy, and management, as well as the goings-on of TWS for our members.

Her work has appeared in Smithsonian Voices, The Bitter Southerner, The Working Waterfront Newspaper, Park Science Magazine, and more. She also created and produced season one of Acadia National Park’s official narrative science podcast, Sea to Trees. Originally from East Tennessee, Olivia is currently based in Brooklyn, NY.
