The Wildlife Society joined other conservation societies in expressing support for the USDA’s work to address Chronic Wasting Disease. The letter urges the timely distribution of funds, expanded research focus on wild cervids, and full implementation of the CWD Herd Certification Program. Cervids are members of the deer family, including ruminant mammals such as deer, elk, moose, caribou, and reindeer.
