Announcement
The IWMWG board is now seeking nominations for the positions of Chair-Elect and Treasurer/Secretary!
The Chair-Elect role is a six-year commitment: two years as Chair-Elect, followed by two as Chair, and concluding with two years as Past Chair. Current Chair Masa Ohnishi will transition to Past Chair, while Catherine Semcer will assume the role of Chair for the 2025-2027 term.
What makes this working group unique within TWS is our active collaboration across countries—currently our Chair is based in Japan, our Past Chair is based in Norway, and our Chair-elect is based in [the U.K./Africa, or US] highlighting the global nature of our engagement. We encourage members from nations around the world to contact our working group so that we may develop a diverse group of wildlife professionals. This includes wildlifers within all career stages including students, early-career and established biologists.
If you are interested in either position or would like to recommend a candidate, please email iwmwg.tws@gmail.com by Sept. 30 with a maximum one page cover letter expressing which role you are applying for and your background. Please note these are volunteer positions elected by our working group members.
