Are the fastest the slowest?

Are the fastest animals really the slowest? In a study in the journal Scientific Reports, researchers found some of the world’s fastest animals are actually some of the slowest when their movements are averaged throughout their lifetimes. Fast animals’ short bursts of speed, they found, are balanced by long periods without movement.
