This year’s theme is: Science to Prepare for a Changing World

Dates: April 15^th, 16^th, 17^th 2024

• Meeting sessions and the Banquet will be held at The Nave community center in Anchorage (3502 Spenard Rd, Anchorage, AK 99503)
• Room blocks with government rates will be available at La Quinta Inn & Suites (located directly behind The Nave). The deadline to get the block rate is April 5. It is
• April 15^th will feature a MoveApp Workshop!
• Don’t forget about the annual art contest (photography, sketches, mixed media, painting). All art forms encouraged!
• Swag Swap Table! Bring any old conference coffee mugs, shirts, binders, notepads, etc. and score some vintage swag or send your old gear to a new home instead of the thrift store or landfill!
• Need travel assistance? We will be providing student travel awards for those who need some help getting to Anchorage: Student travel award

NEW THIS YEAR: banquet catering featuring wild game!! Is your freezer a little crammed? If you’re interested, we’re solicitating donations of any form of game meat (5 pounds or greater) that we’ll incorporate into the banquet feast. The conference planning committee thinks this will be a fun feast and hope you will enjoy it too! Sign up here!

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION – CLOSED

Do you have research to present for the TWS Alaska chapter annual conference? We invite you to submit abstracts for both oral and poster presentations by March 25^th, 2024. In person and virtual presentations are welcome. 

Student research in progress posters are also welcomed. Please submit your abstracts (300 word limit) by email to twsalaska@gmail.com with the subject title “TWS Alaska Abstract Submission”.  Please specify if you are interested in providing an in person or virtual presentation in your email.
