A Look at the Environment on the 45th Earth Day

Today, people across the country are celebrating the 45th Earth Day—an annual holiday for honoring our planet. Since the first Earth Day in 1970, there have been environmental improvements including legislation such as the Endangered Species Act and a decrease in air pollution. However, there are still many ways to improve the planet, especially since climate change has increased over the years. To mark the 45th Earth Day, President Obama will visit Florida’s Everglades National Park to deliver a speech about Earth Day and promote his climate change agenda.
