TWS Western Section to host sea turtle workshop

Join the Western Section of The Wildlife Society for a West Coast sea turtle workshop! This workshop hopes to demystify the biology, conservation, and regulation of sea turtles occurring on the western coast of the United States. NOAA biologists Dan Lawson and Christina Fahy will discuss cutting-edge research on California’s resident green sea turtle population and describe monitoring for the four species occurring in our area. Afterwards, participants will look for wild sea turtles. Lunch included.

The workshop will take place on January 19, 2018 in Long Beach, California.

The Wildlife Society will allow a maximum of 6.5 Continuing Education Units in Category I of the Certified Wildlife Biologist Renewal/Professional Development Certificate Program for this workshop.
