The 2018 Utah Chapter of The Wildlife Society Annual Meeting will be March 21-23 in Vernal, UT. The conference will be held  at the Uintah Conference Center, 313 E 200 S, Vernal, UT 84078. A block of hotel rooms will be reserved at a nearby hotel yet to be determined.

Meeting Theme: Fire and Ice of Wildlife Management- Life In An Arid Landscape

$60 early bird

$85 late (After March 3rd)

Student and retiree registration: 

$40 early

$55 late (After March 3rd)

Single-day registration at $35

Banquet at $20 per person

Call For Abstracts, Papers, Posters

We invite submissions of contributed papers and posters on topics of wildlife science, management, ecology, conservation, education, or policy for the annual meeting of the Utah Chapter of The Wildlife Society March 21-23, 2018. The deadline for abstracts is​ February 24, 2018.  Participants will be accepted based on their technical merit, relevance, and/or contribution to our knowledge. Participants will be notified of abstract acceptance by March 3, 2018.  Papers and posters could present results from completed studies or works in progress. Complete applications will include a properly formatted abstract (2018 Abstract Format Guidelines) of no more than 300 words and a completed cover sheet (2018 Paper and Poster Cover Sheet). Formatting guidelines must be followed or your application will be returned for revisions. Please name attachments UTTWS_2018_YOURLASTNAME and send submissions to TBA. PowerPoint presentations must be Office 2007 compatible and be brought on a flash drive.

Nominations are now being accepted for the following awards: Award of Excellence, Award of Merit, Conservation Achievement Award and Certificate of Appreciation. Scholarships/Grants In Aid

The Utah Chapter of The Wildlife Society (TWS) offers Grants-in-Aid for graduate and undergraduate research. Students last year received a combined $4,000!
