What is wildlife damage management and why is it important to wildlife students and professionals? In an increasingly urban world, humans alter habitats, which can have negative impacts on wildlife by removing important ecosystems, and introducing toxins, diseases and invasive species. However, human-altered ecosystems can have positive impacts on some generalist species, resulting in increased human-wildlife interactions. During this webinar, TWS’ WDMWG Board Member Jon Cepek and WDMWG Past-Chair Travis DeVault (CWB®) will introduce the field of wildlife damage management and explain its relevance through several examples of research and management projects. They have a combined five decades of experience working to understand and resolve human-wildlife conflicts by partnering with federal, state and local agencies and universities.
