Early Career Professional Membership

Discounted rate for graduates of full-time, college-level wildlife or directly related curricula. This membership may be claimed once and renewed up to four times.

Student Membership

Affordable access to all the benefits of TWS, plus student-specific chapter and scholarship opportunities. This membership status shall not exceed seven years, whether obtained in consecutive or non-consecutive years.

Can students join The Wildlife Society?
  • Absolutely! Students are encouraged to join and can take advantage of discounted rates, student chapters, scholarships and mentoring opportunities.
How do I get involved in TWS working groups?
  • Once you become a member, you can join any of our 32 working groups. These groups are a great way to focus on issues that matter to you.
Do you have to be a wildlife scientist to become a member of TWS?
  • No. Membership is open to anyone passionate about conservation science, and it’s our mission to encourage communication between the public, policymakers and the scientific community.
Do you need a membership to become a TWS Certified Wildlife Biologist®?
  • Yes. Applications to become a Certified Wildlife Biologist®, Associate Wildlife Biologist® or Qualified Airport Wildlife Biologist must be submitted through your TWS membership portal. Begin your path to certification by selecting a membership option.
Are physical copies of the journals and other publications available?
  • The three journals are digital-only. The Wildlife Professional magazine is available both digitally and in print to members only.
