The working group facilitates networking between students and experienced TWS members by hosting meetings, workshops, poster sessions, mentoring events and a student chapter leaders’ breakfast. The working group also selects the recipient of The Wildlife Society’s Student Chapter Advisor of the Year Award.

    Calling all TWS students and early career wildlife professionals!

    Apply today for the 2024 Trailblazer Grants

    The Trailblazer Grant will support the purchase of field gear plus additional apparel and equipment prizes for under-represented minority students and early career professionals in wildlife science. This grant represents the cooperative effort of the Early Career Professional and Student Development working groups to address the financial challenges that purchasing necessary field gear poses for entry-level wildlife work. All under-represented minority students and early career professional TWS members are invited to apply NOW through April 30th. Contact tws.sdwg@gmail.com with questions or concerns.⁠
