Where is the meeting? The meeting is at the University of North Georgia Dahlonega Campus in Hoag Auditorium. You can find a map here.
Where do I park? Parking will be available in Lot #64 (GPS coordinates: 34.524124, -83.993746) with free UNG shuttle service to/from Hoag between 7:45-9am. If you arrive after 9am, email Jessy (jrpatterson@ung.edu) and she will notify the shuttle. If you are staying on/near the square, you can walk to Hoag.
Where should I stay? We have a hotel room block at the Holiday Inn Express in downtown Dahlonega. To reserve your room click on the link here: Book your room! To book via phone, call 800-465-4329 and reference the group’s name (wildlife conference) and Holiday Inn Express Dahlonega when booking.
Where is the social? This years social will be held at Pine Valley Recreation Center, 10 minutes from campus. 3757 Dawsonville Highway Dahlonega, GA 30533. This is mainly an outdoor event, so dress warm! You must purchase a social ticket ($20) to attend – please do this in eventbrite so we have an accurate head count for food preparation. There will be vegan and vegetarian options provided (please select this during checkout on eventbrite).

What are the field trip/workshop options? Friday will include three half-day FREE professional development workshop options: 1) A guided tour of the Smithgall Woods State Park conservation area and Hardman Farms with Sautee Nacoochee Indian Burial Mound (space is limited!) 2) An intro to R Studio workshop hosted by Dr. Michel Kohl (geared towards beginners/graduate students). 3) A tour of the Chattahoochee National Forest Fish Hatchery in Suches. Is lunch included with the meeting? Yes! You can select your lunch preference during registration in eventbrite.
