MWSU Students Cohost Deer Hunt for Disabled

The Missouri Western State University Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society was instrumental in organizing a deer hunt for people with disabilities earlier this month at the Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge in Forest City, Mo. Volunteers from the chapter worked with refuge staff to host the 7th annual hunt, providing wheelchair accessible hunting blinds to each of the hunters who ventured afield. Between the eight hunters who participated in the two-day black powder rifle hunt, seven deer were harvested, including an 11-point and two 10-point bucks. Read more.
