Idaho Wilderness Bill Heads to President
The U.S. Senate unanimously approved a bill on Tuesday that would protect 275,665 acres of the Boulder-White Clouds region of Idaho as designated wilderness area. This occurred shortly after the bill passed the House by a voice vote last week. The urgency to pass this bill resulted from the Obama Administration’s threat to designate this mountainous and forested area home to several big game species as a national monument if the legislation did not pass.
