New Look! The Winter 2026 issue of The Wildlife Professional

The winter issue of the magazine features a new design with TWS’ new brand

The Wildlife Professional has undergone a rebranding that pulls together the same great conservation and management content with a modern, sleek design. The magazine features a totally new color palette of dark green, sand, light blue, salmon and other colors. You’ll now receive the magazine four times each year as the seasons change, rather than the six times a year you may be used to. But you won’t be losing out on quality content. We will be posting member-exclusive cover stories and other content behind a member paywall.

The cover feature of the inaugural redesigned issue takes us into the complex issue of managing feral cats. The issue involves people as much as it does wildlife. Feral cats kill a number of native rodents and birds, but control measures often conflict with societal values. Staff writer Olivia Milloway takes us into the effort that wildlife professionals are putting forth to find solutions to the problem.

Our special focus for this issue prioritizes the mental health of wildlifers in a field constantly dealing with crisis.
