Watch: Texas volunteers respond to cold-stunned turtles

It was one of the largest cold-stunning events ever recorded. Thousands of sea turtles washed up on Texas beaches after a severe cold front hit the region, putting the turtles at risk of drowning. In response, volunteers turned out to rescue the turtles and return them to the sea.

The video below shows how state biologists, the nonprofit Sea Turtle Inc., and a host of volunteers responded to this unusual event.
