Announcing the March/April issue of
The Wildlife Professional

A growing number of fungal diseases are affecting wildlife in North America and around the world. This issue of The Wildlife Professional looks at the wave of fungal disease taking their toll on snakes, amphibians and bats. What’s been especially worrisome for wildlife biologists is that these diseases are decimating populations, hitting some endangered and threatened species particularly hard.

The issue also features contributed articles that describe a mapping tool for citizen herpetologists designed to help document distribution of species, a pilot survey to track the spread of amphibian diseases, and the story of how a nearly 50-year collaborative effort led to the delisting of the Delmarva fox squirrel.
