WSB to become open-access journal
The Wildlife Society Bulletin is transitioning to an open-access journal. Starting in January, the online journal’s papers will be available to anyone in the world. The transition will not affect its current peer-review process, and the journal will continue to maintain its integrity and rigor, but the research will become more widely available.
Submitting authors will notice some changes in the submission process. Papers received starting July 19 will be subject to an article publication charge, if accepted and published.
The Wildlife Society Bulletin is one of TWS’ three peer-reviewed journals, alongside the Journal of Wildlife Management and Wildlife Monographs. Published in print from 1973 to 2006, it was re-launched as an online journal in 2011. A journal for wildlife practitioners, it integrates cutting-edge science with management and conservation and covers important policy issues involving wildlife science.
