Without humans around, wildlife expands its horizons

While some reports of wildlife running amok as people locked down were false, it seems some animals are taking advantage of the lack of people out and about. In Brazil, sea turtles are taking advantage of hatching on deserted beaches, the Washington Post reports, as the beaches close to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Wild boars have appeared on the streets of Barcelona. Mountain goats have headed into town in Wales. And whales are swimming into Mediterranean shipping lanes.
