Watch: Cottonmouth snakes battle for dominance

They may not be able to perform a leg lock, but male cottonmouths will still wrestle for their mates.  Wildlife manager Matthew Moore with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources recently captured footage of two male cottonmouths (Agkistrodon piscivorus) attempting to push each other down in a swamp in Bulloch County. In this video, the dominant male is victorious, seeming to win the territory of a creekbank cypress. Moore suspected a female was nearby, according to a story published recently in Georgia Wild.
