Watch: A wolf’s point of view

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to see the world from a wolfs perspective? For the first time, researchers have released footage taken from a wild wolf’s collar camera. The video, taken last year of collared wolf V089 roaming in Minnesota’s Voyageurs National Park, reveals new information about how wolves find food.

The video follows V089 as it hunts and catches fish. Before the researchers reviewed the video, they had only documented wolves from the Bowman Bay Pack hunting fish in a small creek. But the new footage — showing the wolf eating three different fish species — shows that fish are part of the diet for other wolves in the area.
