TWS and Wisconsin Chapter member receives award

Harvey Halvorsen, a TWS member since 1974 and a member of the Wisconsin Chapter of The Wildlife Society, was awarded the 2017 Wisconsin DNR Wildlife Management Leadership Award during a ceremony in Wausau this past June. New Richmond News reports that the award was initiated in 1993 and provides field staff with the opportunity to recognize an individual who has provided exemplary leadership in the wildlife management field. Halvorsen was nominated by around 30 of his employees.
