North Carolina Legislation Will Expand Deer Industry

The North Carolina Legislature will consider a bill transferring oversight captive deer herds from the Wildlife Resources Commission to the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The bill would allow for the expansion of the captive deer industry, despite concerns of disease transmission between wild and captive herds.
