Watch: Wyoming ranchers benefit wildlife

A new series “My Wild Land,” launched by the Wyoming Migration Initiative at the University of Wyoming, documents ranchers across Wyoming who are helping conserve big game populations on working lands. The series, created in response to a loss of wildlife habitat in the western U.S. to residential growth, features ranches including the Terry Creek Ranch near Laramie, the Bischoff Ranch near Lovell and the Hellyer family ranch near Lander. In each episode, the landowners share their relationship with their land and the challenges they’ve faced maintaining their ranch while promoting wildlife habitat. The series is online for free public viewing. One film will be released each week. View the first one below.
