The April issue of Wildlife Monographs

Wildlife Monographs, single-topic, peer-reviewed studies on specific problems and issues in wildlife science, management and conservation, are a benefit of membership in The Wildlife Society. Join today for access to Wildlife Monographs and all the other great benefits of TWS membership.

When Colorado Parks and Wildlife managers developed statewide puma (Puma concolor) hunting management plans in 2004, they had little information to rely on. Managers had assumptions about mortality rates that would allow populations to increase or reduce, but none had been tested. In this issue of Wildlife Monographs, researchers examined the effects of hunting on a population on Colorado’s Uncompahgre Plateau.
