About Us


  1. Provide an organization of wildlife management professionals from which statements affecting wildlife can be made exclusive of agency limitations.
  2. Provide for the exchange of ideas and information between wildlife workers without agency consideration.
  3. To strengthen The Wildlife Society, its objectives and goals.
  4. To promote and provide for interdisciplinary communication and training to keep abreast of modern needs and technological developments.
  5. To promote awareness of and continued improvement in wildlife management.

Memorial Bear Fund

The Memorial Bear Fund (MBF) was set up in 1992 in order to honor the memory of biologists Kirk Inberg and Kevin Roy, and pilot Ray Austin. Projects may be submitted for funding consideration from The Foundation by following the guidelines and criteria and other instructions found on the Memorial Bear Fund menu on the same homepage.
