Consider Participating in WCTWS Committees
Your WCTWS board has made it one of this year’s goals to revitalize our chapter’s committees and improve involvement. Committee members help to make significant decisions for TWS, including award recipients, scholarships, and organizing program content at our annual trainings and conferences. They can also develop position statements and provide testimony at hearings.
Committees that may have openings for added volunteers are:
- Nominating and Elections
- Wolf Management
- Furbearer Issues
- Information and Education
- Climate Change
- Deer Management
- Public Comment
- Fundraising and Investments
- Government Affairs
- Wildlife Damage Management
- Leopold Scholarship
Any state chapter member can participate in one of these committees, including student chapter members and retirees. Anyone who has interest in being on a committee (or two) can send me their first and second preferences directly at Jeremy.email@example.com. I will forward your information to the appropriate committee chair.
It is our hope to set aside time at our winter meeting in February for each standing committee that wants to post an agenda and get together. Consider participating and help us strengthen our chapter and our profession.
