Watch: Video series focuses on recovering California wildlife

On the 50th anniversary of the Endangered Species Act, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is hosting “Bringing Back the Wild,” a film series spotlighting rare California wildlife and the people who work to bring the species back from the brink of extinction. In the first installment, “The Little Fox of Limuw,” filmmakers focus on the Channel Island fox (Urocyon littoralis) of Santa Cruz Island, and its connection with the Chumash people who historically called the island home.

Follow the series on the USFWS’ YouTube channel, and watch the first installment below.
