Fanny Riand joined The Wildlife Society’s policy and communications teams in fall 2026. As an intern, Fanny contributes to TWS’s efforts to engage with federal policy by researching and communicating relevant issues at the intersection of policy and wildlife.

Fanny holds an M.S. in wildlife ecology with a graduate certificate in public management and policy from Iowa State University, where her master’s research focused on barriers and opportunities for creating wildlife habitat in growing cities in the Midwest. She also holds dual B.S. degrees in biology and natural resources conservation from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
