Registration Open for Annual Meeting
Be sure to register by January 18 for the Minnesota TWS Annual Meeting to be held Feb 9-11, 2016 in downtown Mankato, MN.  A specially priced block of rooms is available at the conference venue the Mankato City Center Hotel.

MN TWS Past President Steve Windels Wins NPS Award
Steve Windels, wildlife biologist at Voyageurs National Park, recently received the 2014 National Park Service’s Director’s Award for Natural Resource Research, an award that recognized his contributions to understanding, protecting and managing natural resources.​  For the full story visit: https://wildlife.org/tws-member-receives-national-park-service-award.

Call for Papers & Posters – 2016 MN TWS Annual Meeting
The annual meeting of the Minnesota Chapter of The Wildlife Society will take place February 9-11, 2016 and will be hosted by the Mankato City Center Hotel.  Please consider submitting an abstract for an oral or poster presentation. All topics relevant to the conservation of wildlife and their habitats are welcome and students are encouraged to participate.  For more information see the Annual Meeting webpage or the Call for Abstracts flyer.

Minnesota TWS Conservation Grazing Workshop
Join Minnesota TWS on August 27th as they host  a workshop on conservation grazing as a habitat management tool.  Topics will cover planning, application, monitoring, real-world experiences and will include a field visit to Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge.

2015 Minnesota TWS Board Elections
Candidates for the 2015 Board have been announced.  Voting will take place at the Annual Meeting with winners announced during the all-membership meeting on Wednesday afternoon.  Members may submit an absentee ballot if not attending the annual meeting.
