GROW YOUR NETWORK

We believe it is never too early to start building your professional network as you begin your career in wildlife sciences. Becoming a member of The Wildlife Society allows you to attend our annual conference, receive emails about valuable internship and job opportunities, join a student chapter or working group, and open the door to many exciting opportunities. You will also have access to TWS Network Online Directory to increase your network of connections and search for peers and mentors.

ATTEND OUR CONFERENCE

Build your resume and your network by attending the TWS Annual Conference. The Wildlife Society’s Annual Conference is widely regarded as the largest and most important technical meeting for wildlife professionals and students in North America. With roughly 1,000 educational and networking opportunities available each year, the conference offers students exposure to the latest industry happenings and notable professionals in the field. We also invite students to present their research each year and offer student travel grants to help get you there.

STUDENT CONNECTIONS

Expand your extracurriculars by joining (or starting!) a student chapter at your institution to build your own locally-focused community of like minded students and faculty. We also offer up to eight regional student conclaves hosted by student chapters to provide college students with valuable hands-on training in wildlife management and conservation, and networking opportunities with wildlife professionals.

EXPAND YOUR RESOURCES

Members of The Wildlife Society gain access to our robust library of topics related to wildlife management, conservation, and policy through our exclusive partnership with Johns Hopkins University Press. Save money on your textbooks next semester when you join the TWS membership and expand your educational resources for your research projects.
