FWS Mulls Delisting of Four Fox Species in California

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is considering removing the endangered status of four subspecies of fox from the northern Channel Islands off the coast of California. While the studies leading up to the decision will take around a year to complete, a positive finding would mean the fastest species recovery ever recorded of a mammal listed on the Endangered Species Act.
