Western Governors’ Association sends letter on wild horses and burros

On Jan. 27, 2016, the Western Governors’ Association sent a letter to the Bureau of Land Management requesting additional information regarding their administration of the National Wild Horse and Burro Program. In it, Western Governors’ Association stress their belief that wild horse and burro populations should be managed within Appropriate Management Levels, which should be developed using a transparent and science-based process. They suggest the utilization of new management options and fertility control methods.
