University of Manitoba offers mentored hunting course

Students at the University of Manitoba are getting hands-on experience harvesting geese and deer while earning college credits. The Environmental Field Investigations course gives students a better understanding of the issues they study, including the role of hunting in conservation, according to Professor Rick Baydack, past president of TWS. The course begins with a classroom discussion about hunting and why each student is interested in the course. Then students take to the firing range for target practice.
