UND advisor helps rebuild student chapter

The University of North Dakota Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society, formed in 1988, participates in numerous activities throughout the year, including wood duck box repairs, surveys at wildlife refuges and hosting an annual game dinner. The student chapter also brings great energy to both its state chapter meeting and The Wildlife Society’s Annual Conference.

That wasn’t always the case, though. Prior to 2011, when Susan Ellis-Felege became its advisor, the student chapter was relatively inactive. Susan helped revitalize the student chapter and increase the learning and networking opportunities for their student members — one of the reasons she was awarded the 2017 Student Chapter Advisor of the Year award from The Wildlife Society.
