TWS member kicks off Washington Post Squirrel Week

The Washington Post featured long-time TWS member and squirrel expert John Koprowski in an article to help kick off their sixth annual Squirrel Week on April 9. Koprowski, a professor of wildlife and fisheries science at the University of Arizona, has studied squirrels since he was an undergraduate in college and continues to share his knowledge about the species with others. Some of his work includes conducting a long-term study on America’s most endangered squirrel, the Mt. Graham red squirrel (Tamiasciurus hudsonicus grahamensis) and observing the role of squirrels in South Africa and China. Read about Koprowski and Squirrel Week in The Washington Post and check out a TWS article featuring Koprowski.
