President Potts visits with student chapters

President Gary Potts traveled to the Midwest Fish and Wildlife Conference in January which boasted over 1,200 total attendees, 40 percent of whom were students. He spent much of his time at the conference — which was held in Grand Rapids, Michigan — engaging with students and TWS student chapters. Pictured above is Potts with the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point Student Chapter, a several-time Student Chapter of the Year Award recipient. They will be hosting the North Central Section’s student conclave in April, which Potts will also attend as the guest plenary speaker.

He even had a table at the student-professional mixer networking event with American Fisheries Society president, Ron Essig, where he posed for a photo with another TWS student chapter from Northern Michigan State University. Potts values engaging with next generation wildlife professionals face-to-face and plans to continue connecting with students as often as possible.
