New Jersey Approves Expansion of Bear Hunt

On November 16 the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection approved an expansion of their existing bear hunt for 2015 and added a new season for 2016. The decision increased the approved hunting areas for the 2015 hunting season, which takes place December 7 through December 12. Additionally, the 2016 hunting season will have a six-day hunting season in October as well as a six-day season in December and will allow bow hunting in the October season. A Comprehensive Black Bear Management Policy was approved with the hunting expansions. Read more about the new hunting seasons or check out the new policy.
