Nature show features cameras and wildlife — and TWS members

A pair of TWS members will be featured on the Canadian nature show “The Nature of Things.” Art Rodgers and Ullas Karanth will appear on the episode “Spying on Animals,” which looks at the use of camera technology in understanding wildlife, from remote cameras capturing rare tigers in India to the “caribou cam” Rodgers developed to study woodland caribou in Canada. “It allows you to accompany the animal on its journey through life,” Rodgers tells the CBC. The episode airs Sunday, Nov. 8 on the CBC in Canada and is scheduled to air next year in the United States on the PBS science program “Nova.” Canadian viewers can also watch the program online.
