2018 Annual Meeting Information
As many of you know, we are holding our Georgia Chapter of The Wildlife Society Annual Meeting on Sept. 6-7 in Tifton at the UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center. We are looking forward to an exciting array of speakers from around the state. Starting last year, we received approval for attendees to receive continuing education credits for TWS and SAF professional certification programs. If you have not done so already, please register via the PayPal button below.
If you wish to give a presentation at the annual meeting, please send your title via email to Tina Johannsen (Friday, August 17, 2018. Registration cost is $40 for professionals and $25 for students.) by Friday August 10, 2018. Indicate whether you wish to give an oral or poster presentation. Student presenters should also copy Andrew Edelman ( ) on the email and be Chapter dues paying members to be considered for presentation awards. Presenters and attendees should register for the annual meeting no later than
Food: Lunch on Thursday will be on your own. There are numerous eateries located just down the road from the conference center. Coffee and snacks will be provided at the breaks. The Thursday night dinner is a catered BBQ (Cooked by GATWS member and Pitmaster Theron Menken). You must buy a $15 dinner ticket by August 30 so we can ensure there is enough food for attendees.
Lodging: There are a number of conveniently located hotels along I-75 in Tifton.
Directions: The UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center is conveniently located right off of I-75 at exit 64. The address is 15 RDC rd. Tifton, GA 31794 (http://www.caes.uga.edu/campuses/tifton/conference-center/about/location-and-directions.html).
