Early Notice – Nominations for 2014 Elections

That time of year is just around the corner: an opportunity to nominate your colleagues or your very own self for a BWG officer position! Service as an officer is a great opportunity to learn about the organization and to see the exciting ways that BWG influences the wildlife profession. We especially encourage the nomination of new members, who are vital for ensuring that BWG continues to grow and serve its members in new ways. We are now accepting nominations for two awards given by the Biometrics Working Group: The Award of Excellence and The Special Recognition Award (descriptions below).  Please submit nominations to Amy Davis ( the board member in charge of Advisory and Audit. 

Student Travel Grants

Student Travel Grants

The Biometrics Working Group of The Wildlife Society is offering student travel grants of up to $2,500 for TWS student members presenting papers or posters at the Annual Conference of The Wildlife Society.

The purpose of the travel grants is to promote student interest in biometrics and the BWG.

Applicants must be students and members of The Wildlife Society. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate strong statistical or mathematical skills.
